Beautiful grounds, lovely soft beds and sheets

No biscuits with tea facilities! no flannels in the bathroom. cheap/small shampoo/conditioner for the cost of the rooms

  • Couple

The location and room was excellent. The spa was an added bonus.

Booking dinner was a farce. Invited to book a table but none were available.Complained and got a table. Arrived with two tables booked, one in each restaurant. during dinner two tables remained vacant all evening! After that dinner was poor. You really shouldn't do that to an oyster or goats cheese! Fillet steak shoud not have a piece of gristle through it. The cheese and pudding was good though.

Loverly location, lovely building with lots of history and character.

Very Poor service in the resturant.

Great countryside, good location, Comfortable room. Smashing view.

Service in the restaurants was naive and gauche. Evening meal was grossly over priced. The breakfast served poor quality food and was very over crowded. Overall, the level of service in the hotel and the cost were not in balance. The hotel seems essentially set up to cater to one off wedding parties. This was our second visit and we were disappointed enough to look for alternatives for our next visit - and found a beautiful pub close by with rooms at less than half the price of Fawsley Hall.

Everything, staff , food, location, beautiful building, I wish we could have stayed longer,

Fawsley Hall is well placed for touring the Northampton area. A lovely historic base with well layed out grounds.

I was disappointed with the lack of small detail, no instant coffee sachets in bedrooms. No biscuits, no nibbles in the bar, ie peanuts cashuenuts crisps etc lacking in the female touch around hotel. Most everything was there but not quite. Bar and Food are expensive for what is delivered

The peacefull setting , the ambience, the very comfortable rooms. The wednesday dining room staff.

The inefficiency of the dining room staff on monday and tuesday.

Location is amazing and the hotel is really impressive - very tastefully furbished

Staff on reception not helpful on arrival, slightly rude.Club bedroom uncomfortably hot, winter duvet on bed not helpful in July! Sleepless night as a result. Very disappointed to find that the breakfast included in the overnight stay was misleading, the buffet breakfast was included but there was a full price charge for the cooked English breakfast.

A stunning location and fantastic ambience. We so enjoyed our weekend at Fawsley.

    The grounds and the setting

The room was too hot. Intrusive noise from creaky floorboards in the corridor and the guest in the room above mine

  • Couple

Spectacular Tudor building, gardens and grounds steeped in history and set in an idyllic countryside location. Luxurious rooms, good food and courteous staff. Our dog was allowed to stay with us in the room which meant we got to enjoy even more a long walk the next morning through fields of sheep and ancient woodlands to a neighbouring village for a hearty pub lunch. We had a wonderful weekend and although the hotel is pricey it's justifiable - it was worth every penny! I didn't want to leave! I would thoroughly recommend Fawsley Hall.

Our room on the ground floor was very warm. It was a particularly hot weekend but I'd have expected air conditioning or at least a fan to make the room more comfortable.

Convenience for our destination. Not impressed by Eqilibrium restaurant: new chef, or perhaps an off night

  • Couple
    5.8

Amazing location! Beautiful scenery. The house and hall itself is stunning! Very romantic setting. Nice spa! Bed was comfy and lovely view from room 15.

The room was nothing like the image used on the hotel website. Over priced for the standard of the room. It felt jaded. Dusty bed sheets which smelt. Dated television/ cd player. The sort of thing you would expect in a 2 star not a 4 star charging £230 per night. Staff were stressed out in the bar area. Perhaps because there was a wedding on. Whether it be lack of staff or new staff it got to a point where we had to leave the bar area as it was uncomfortable to watch staff being shouted at and not knowing who to take simple drinks orders too. Dirty glasses and plates were left on some tables for hours. Our first impression on arriving at the hotel was wow what a beautiful place, a potential wedding venue for us but unfortunately our lasting impression was we won't be going back.

    Lovely location and nice hotel

Staff in the restaurant were slow to take our order and had to be chased after waiting over 1/2hr for them to bring a menu.
